You will be required to follow up with your surgeon and a physical therapist and they will advise you on your recovery. Most patients can leave the hospital or clinic (as is often the case with arthroscopic surgeries) the same day using crutches, a cane or perhaps just a splint. Proper post-surgery rehabilitation is very important, perhaps even more important than the surgery itself.
